Jane started traveling overseas as an adult, and was one of the early European ‘backpackers’ in the early 1970s.
The youngest of the three Ayer siblings, Jane became the third leg of our company, as always under the wing of her sister Cheryl, who also embraced the spirit of travel.

With a little help
After Cheryl left India for the US, Jane made her way back to London for a short stay before heading Back to Los Angeles, where she would make her mark in the Public Relations industry. Jane began her career in PR in late 1974 as a college intern at Atlantic Records, working with its celebrated roster of talent, including Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones and Aretha Franklin, and later moving on to represent Elton John and his company Rocket Records. After that she worked with Michael Nesmith during his Pacific Arts Corporation foray into the home video market.

In 1983, she joined Universal Studios and worked on major PR campaigns with such Hollywood legends as Jimmy Stewart, Jack Lemmon, Tippi Hedren, Janet Leigh and Charlton Heston. Jane has worked on numerous Oscar campaigns and out-of-the-box PR adventures with filmmakers Steven Spielberg, Cameron Crowe, William Friedkin, Ken Burns, Taylor Hackford and Richard Attenborough. She founded Jane Ayer Public Relations in 1991, and for over 15 years she successfully represented a diverse range of clients and projects in music, film, animation, TV, film festivals and publishing.
